THE MERRY PIT
Robinhood Chain Testnet

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Everyone puts in the same. The house takes 10%.
  2. 70% of your stake is the price on your head. Everyone can see it over you.
  3. Shoot someone, take their head. 75% is yours on the spot, even if you die a second later. The other 25% goes onto your own head.
  4. Last one standing takes the rest. Withdraw whenever you like.
EXAMPLE · 4 PLAYERS AT 0.005 ETH EACH
  • You shoot A+0.0023
  • B shoots C (B keeps it, whatever happens next)B +0.0023
  • You shoot B. B’s head had grown.+0.0029
  • You’re the last one standing: your own head + the pot+0.0103
  • You put in 0.005, you walk out with0.0156 ETH

In a 1v1 the winner walks out with 0.009 ETH. The house kept 0.002 ETH of the 0.02 put in above; everything else went to players.

YOUR ETH

  • It sits in the match contract, not with us. The game server holds no keys.
  • The contract pays out only if the numbers add up to exactly what went in.
  • Match never starts? You get your full stake back, no cut.
  • Winnings wait for you in the contract. Press WITHDRAW on My account.
  • Every match has its own page with the replay and the math, checked in your browser.

  • RIGHT STICKAIM · PUSH TO SHOOT
  • DASHDASH 2 TILES

Dash: 2 charges, each back in 10 s. Arrows pass through you mid-dash.

How a paid match starts
  1. Pick a stake: T0: 0.0001 ETH, T1: 0.001 ETH, T2: 0.005 ETH, T3: 0.02 ETH, T4: 0.1 ETH. Everyone in the match puts in the same.
  2. Sign once with your wallet to prove it’s you. No gas. Good for 24 hours.
  3. When a second player joins, you both have 60 seconds to deposit.
  4. Then a 20-second lobby where more can join. Anyone who didn’t deposit is sent back with nothing taken.
  5. New wallets play at 0.005 ETH or less until 3 of their matches have paid out.
The clock: the Sheriff’s men

If more than one player is still alive after 120 seconds, everyone loses a heart every 10 seconds until one is left. If the last ones fall together, they tie and split. Every match ends with a winner. There is no draw and no timeout refund.

Leaving or losing connection

You have 20 seconds to come back. Your body stays in the arena and can be shot. Not back in time, or you quit, and your head goes into the pot.

Rounds and lives: how they pay
  • Best of 3 (1v1): the whole duel and its clock restart each round. Win 2 rounds, win the match. If the clock runs out, the Sheriff’s men decide the round; if both fall together the round is replayed. Money moves once, at the end.
  • 3 lives (4 or 8 players): each kill takes a third of that player’s head. The kill that takes their last life takes what’s left.
The exact math

Stake S. The house takes 10%, so your net is n = S − 10%. Two numbers do the rest, and every match page shows them:

α = 70%
Share of n that becomes your head. The rest of n goes into the pot.
ρ = 25%
Share of a head you shoot that rolls onto your own head, so the player with the most kills is worth the most to shoot. You keep 75% for good.

Your payout = what you kept from kills + your own head if you’re still standing + your share of the pot. Tied survivors split the pot equally. Heads of players who quit or fall to the Sheriff go into the pot. Every wei goes to somebody in the room.

Why 70%? It keeps a hunter who dies nearly as well paid as a survivor, so fighting beats hiding. Feeding kills from a second wallet only pays the house cut.

Who decides what
  • The game server is the referee: movement, hits, kills. It writes down every event and hands the payout list to a keeper. It holds no keys and cannot move money.
  • The contract enforces the stake, one deposit per wallet, the house cut (never above 10%), that payouts add up exactly, and refunds for no-shows. The house never plays for money. You pull your winnings; nothing is pushed.
  • You can check any match: its page replays it and recomputes the payouts in your browser against what the contract recorded.
When things go wrong
  • Nobody else deposited: the match is cancelled and your stake comes back in full.
  • You deposited but never got in: full refund when the match pays out.
  • The payout service is down: after 6 hours the contract lets everyone in that match take their stake back.
  • Cheating: the server flags suspicious aim. From 0.005 ETH matches up, a flagged match waits for a human check before it pays.
  • Teaming:in 4- and 8-player matches two friends can gang up; we can’t stop that. 1v1 has no such problem.
  • Lag: one server region for now. The play screen shows your ping.
Free play and points

Same arena, same math, no ETH. No wallet needed: guests play right away (connect a wallet to get on the free leaderboard). A head is worth 700 points and a kill keeps 525. Free players only meet free players. Points are bragging rights; they pay nothing.
